Solomon King is a 1974 American unbiased blaxploitation motion crime movie that has been remastered and is being re-released in 2022.

Directed by Jack Bomay and Sal Watts from a screenplay written by Jim Alston and Sal Watts. The latter stars alongside James Watts, Samaki Bennett, Claudia Russo, Felice Kinchelow, Louis Zito, Bernard B. Burton, Richard Scarso, Tito Fuentes and C.B. Lyars.

“The long-lost, independently financed Black city crime/motion movie Solomon King from director/actor/producer/author Sal Watts is about for restoration and re-release in 2022 from distributor Deaf Crocodile Movies.

Solomon King was shot in Oakland, CA in 1973 with a forged of principally non-professional actors, a shocking soul-funk soundtrack, and unimaginable garments from Watts’s personal Mr Sal’s Vogue shops.

Restored with the cooperation of the filmmaker’s widow, Belinda Burton-Watts (who seems within the movie), and using one of many solely surviving full prints of the movie from the UCLA Movie and TV Archive alongside the unique soundtrack parts (which had been saved in Burton-Watts’s closet for a number of a long time), Solomon King will probably be re-released theatrically and on Blu-ray and Digital following its competition run later in 2022.”

Plot synopsis:
