FIRST PHOTO: Secondhand Heaven supervisor Pleasure Webster explores the glassware part of the thrift retailer positioned within the 117-year-old neighborhood corridor of adjoining Makawao Union Church. The shop reopened Saturday after being closed for seven weeks for cleansing and organizing. “We had 56 individuals lined up after we opened the doorways,” Webster mentioned. Stocking the whole lot from arts and crafts, books, clothes, lamps, suitcases and furnishings, each penny the store makes goes towards sustaining and restoring the constructing, Webster mentioned. The shop is open to customers from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Donations are accepted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday and Friday.
