At 5pm on Tuesday, a hearse will take the late Queen’s coffin to Edinburgh airport arriving at 6pm. The Princess Royal will fly with the coffin in a RAF plane for the 55-minute flight to a base in South Ruislip.
Guards of honour will salute the departure from Scotland and the arrival in England.
The state hearse will take the Queen’s coffin to Buckingham Palace.
The route will probably be by way of the A40, Eastbourne Terrace, Lancaster Gate, Bayswater Highway, Marble Arch, Park Lane, Hyde Park Nook and Structure Hill, arriving on the Centre Gate Centre Arch of Buckingham Palace.
As soon as at Buckingham Palace, the coffin will probably be positioned within the centre of the Bow Room to offer members of the royal family the prospect to pay their respects.
The King and Queen Consort together with different members of the Royal Household will probably be there and prayers will probably be carried out.
A rehearsal for the procession of the coffin to the Palace of Westminster is predicted to happen.
The King will then go to Northern Eire, with the Queen Consort.
