In November 1922, within the Valley of the Kings close to Luxor in Egypt, after years of looking, a crew led by English archaeologist Howard Carter found the stays of historic Egypt’s boy pharaoh, Tutankhamun. They had been hidden away for greater than 3,000 years. To mark a centenary for the reason that historic discovery, Egyptologist Aidan Dodson speaks to Eve Jackson about historic Egypt’s most well-known king, what was contained in the tomb and why it nonetheless fascinates us at this time.
