Final weekend, Appalachian State gave us top-of-the-line video games of the week. This week, they gave us one of many greatest upsets.
Appalachian State upset Texas A&M 17-14 at Kyle Subject in Faculty Station, Texas on Saturday. The win got here per week after the Mountaineers almost beat North Carolina in an exciting 63-61 defeat.
Quarterback Chase Brice threw for 135 yards and a landing, whereas Camerun Peoples ran for 112 yards.
Shawn Clark, who’s in his third full season as Appalachian State’s head coach, was extraordinarily emotional throughout his postgame interview.
“We got here into Faculty Station and beat the No. 6 crew within the nation. How cool is that?” the 47-year-old head coach stated on ESPN after the win.
“I want my spouse and youngsters have been right here. My little son, Braxton. It’s unbelievable.
“I really like this program. This implies every little thing to me.”
